Jah Free

Jah Free has been involved in reggae music for some 20 years. Storming sound system successes include, 7" 'Wicked Can't Run', 12" 'Lightning Clap', 10" 'Rydim' and the 12" 'Vampire'. These, plus distinctive and powerful live sessions brought Jah Free to the attention of Universal Egg where he was been nurtured until his 2004 return to his own 'Jah Free Music' with the CD release 'Unity'.

Jah Free's first solo CD 'Breaking Out', his split LP with Vibronics, 'Outernational Dub Convention' and the single 'Stringed Instruments' along with compilation appearances on 'All the World in an Egg' and 'Lead with the Bass II' have made him a firm favourite with Universal Egg fans and increased his stature on the UK and European Dub scenes. His other musical credits include mixing The Revolutionary Dub Warriors live and collaborations with founder of Jah Works and Roots inspiration Rej Forte.

Jah Free has played live alongside Mad Professor, Iration Steppas, Conscious Sounds and Zion Train. A strong bond with fellow Egg artist Vibronics resulted in the 'Outernational Dub Convention Vol.1' LP and scores of live Dub Conferences across Europe during the late 90's.

His 'Rod of Correction' 7" on Deep Root, another huge Sound System hit, received Radio 1 play from John Peel and was championed by Andy Kershaw. As Jah Free says himself, "All the works done and inspiration given is for the greater glory of the creator JAH RASTAFARI! ONE LOVE TO ALL NATIONS AND RIGHT THINKING PEOPLE. UNITY IS STRENGTH!"

Jah Free has releases out of Poland in 2006 with his 'Pillar Of Salt' rhythm being turned into a one rhythm album by the Siodemcki label out of Warsaw.
