Blessed Is He / Love Revolutionary 10"

This was the first Universal Egg single release for over 3 years and a prelude to the October 2004 release of wwcd/lp038 ‘Original Sounds Of the Zion remixed’. It is first ever 10” release on the label.

This 10” features the previously unheard full vocal cut from Levi Roots of the Zion Train classic ‘Blessed Is He’ originally released on ‘Love Revolutionaries’ (wwcd/lp030). In this current incarnation the vocal and dub cuts are remixed by Stevie Vibronics. The original Zion Train full vocal mix was never released and remains a classic dubplate, the original pieces were recorded and mixed in Wales, the Vibronics remixes were done in the Bathysphere studio in Leicester.

The flip side of this release features the previously unheard Dubdadda vocal cut of Molara’s ‘Love Revolutionary’ – entitled ‘Can’t Keep a Good Man Down’ with Dubdadda in a sing-jay style, recorded in Manchester and mixed/produced in Wales. Also featured is the Love Grocer’s brass recut of the rhythm – victory brass on a militant roots rhythm - the extra brass recording for this piece was done at Love Grocer studio in Kent.
